You can tour the library, our collections, and our services virtually via the MacMillan Law Library (MLL) website. The MLL website is the Summer RA’s primary research portal with links to electronic resources, research support, frequently used databases, Emory’s catalog, WorldCat, finding aids and other library services.
Listed on the MLL home page under “Our Services,” Finding Materials includes the following sources:
- Library of Congress (LC) Classification chart, which is useful if you want to browse print materials by topic.
- Tips for using discoverE, the universal catalog for all of Emory’s libraries.
- Links to MLL Research Guides and expert assistance should you need help researching your topic.
DiscoverE is the Catalog to Emory’s full collection of print and electronic resources.
WorldCat: Are you looking for materials which are not available at Emory? Try searching WorldCat, the largest catalog of print and electronic collections held in libraries around the world. WorldCat is used in conjunction with ILLIAD.
Finding and accessing law-specific electronic resources is a much easier task when launching your search from the MLL website. Direct links to subscription-based and free databases are available.
Click here to browse our alphabetical listing or to search for subscription-based databases by subject. Quick links to frequently used databases are also available on the MLL home page.
Researchers can also link to free law-related electronic sources by choosing our list of federal, state, and local primary sources, foreign law and international sources, and secondary sources.
If your research needs require multi-disciplinary sources, click here or select “Databases” from the left-side menu on the MLL Electronic Resources page. From this access point, you will be able to browse Woodruff Library’s Databases@Emory.
